Support Worker

About Me

I am a solo mother of a wonderful little 5 year old boy. I was born and raised in Western Australia and have been fortunate enough to have travelled extensively in my twenties. I have worked for the Department of Justice in the past before switching my career to my passion which is working with children. I have worked as a Special Needs Education Assistant and as a room leader at my current day care centre. In addition to my work, I am in my final year of a Bachelors of Primary Education.

I love working with others and supporting children in all areas of their lives.

What are some of my strengths and hobbies?

My key strengths include patience, compassion, respect and time management. I have a passion for supporting children and their families and am a very positive person.

I like to get involved with sports, crafts and games. I participate in a weekly social game of netball and am currently fostering a 10 year old Staffy which helps keep me active.

What do I enjoy learning about?

I am happy to give new things a go and am eager to learn. I am currently trying to navigate Minecraft and Zelda as these are popular with many children I have worked with.

Why do I like supporting children with an autism diagnosis and their families?

When I was studying Education Support, I was placed in an Education Support Centre for experience and quickly discovered what I was meant to be doing. I enjoy supporting children with their daily needs and love seeing each child grow in their own beautiful way. I want to help in easing some of life's pressures so that children and their families can focus on making wonderful memories together.
