What are some of my strengths and hobbies?
My strengths are that I am extremely patient and considerate of others with regard to the fact that everyone is different and unique, especially in the way that we all experience and connect with the world around us. My believe I have the ability to support children and their families in regard to working together in a collaborative manner which draws on a strengths-based approach of care, support and inclusion.
My hobbies are fishing (I am passionate about this), reading, camping, outdoor activities and cooking.
What do I enjoy learning about?
I love learning as it opens up different worlds of knowledge and discovery. For myself to gain knowledge in all areas and aspects is wonderful and to be able to share and discuss new ideas with others, - that’s what learning for me is all about!
Why do I like supporting children with an autism diagnosis and their families?
Words don’t do justice to this question. I love being a part of the Autistic community, working to support the children to strive for greater independence in their day to day lives while also working with family and professionals as a team. To me, it is a very special role.
